PART ONE
ABOUT ME
Hey there, my name is Sally and I have been in the health and beauty industry for 32 years. This is me, part of who I am and my passion in life.
I have successfully owned small naturopathic health and beauty clinics as well as large health and wellbeing day spas.
Being in the beauty industry for so long, I really wanted to share my knowledge and skills I learnt over the years. I found a new passion while training my staff, so I studied a Cert 4 in Training and Assessing, which has led me to teach the Diploma of Beauty Therapy in multiple colleges around Melbourne. Training students to become professional successful beauty therapists became my new passion and challenge. Being such an old hand in this fast-evolving industry, I constantly up-skill to stay current in my field.
As a naturopath and skin specialist I found it difficult to find a skincare range to treat skin diseases and disorders that were paraben, chemical and colour free with no additives.
Just raw organic medicinal plant extracts to treat real skin conditions.
With my experience in cosmetic chemistry I started formulating and manufacturing a new organic skincare brand with my son.
Then voila! Rawganic Skincare was born! The family business began, skin changer!
I find myself to be highly successful in skin healing. I am a natural skin therapist, educating clients to balance and maintain a blemish free, healthy younger looking skin with the help of diet, supplementation, and a bloody good quality enriching organic skincare range!
NUTRITION….SKIN, MY PRINCIPLES
As a naturopath, nutritionist, skin specialist and skin care manufacturer, skin nutrition is high up there for me when it comes to health. I have been a practicing naturopath for the past 23 years and skin/beauty therapist for 32 years. Health and beauty are my passion and I have a lot of experience successfully treating skin from the inside out. This means prescribing dietary requirements, supplementation, and organic skincare to get balance back to the body creating a dominoes effect towards a clean, blemish free smooth hydrated skin.
Skin is the largest organ of our body and is the tell-tale sign to the eye if there’s lack of nutrition in our body. Our skin can change to many colours to give us the symptoms to act upon
For example.
Green = nausea
White = fear
Red = hot and flushed
Blue = lack of blood flow
Grey = lack of life/lustre
All these symptoms can be serious and just with the blink of an eye we can act upon the symptom to bring relief and equilibrium back to the body. So, skin has an important role. It can also tell us our nutrition status, again just with the naked eye.
Part two delves into the determinants of skin health or rather ill health. The main determinants to skin health are Genetics, ageing, hormones, sun, pH levels, skin products, diet, and stress. A lot of these overlap each other.
So, let’s look at what drives us to unwell skin in part two.
